  1. Excellent idea! I may now be able to stay awake until the end of the day...

  2. Great photo and I am not a coffee drinker!

I am going to visit Glades and Turkey Pt for the first time on Sunday. I plan to arrive at sunrise and stay until noon photographing birds of prey. Any suggestions where to start and where to go in that time frame?
    Thanks, davidbdonnelly@me.com

  3. @ David D., I would greet sunrise at either the "dogleg" bend on turkey point road (there's a pullout and interpretive sign there), or all the way at the end of the road on the bridge. Actually, you might consider parking at the dogleg and walking out to the end and back. Other places to split your time in include the Maple Avenue Impoundments, Beaver Dam boat rentals along Route 553 (they're birder friendly, and there's an eagle nest behind and off to the left of the place), and Newport Landing.
